Its short and simple and its another beast. Start in the KGV Playing Field, the start for the epic Rab Helvellyn Sky Ultra and Rab Pinnacle Ridge Extreme. Head straight out of the start to pound tarmac for 1k before a steep ascent of a field and now your on good stepped Lakeland Trails.
The ascent is now in full flow as you grind your way up to the iconic 'Hole int' Wall', over the stile with a little reprieve along the basin of Red Tarn. Crossing the Red Tarn Beck is the start of the next ascent to the foot of Swirral Edge where the scrambling starts.
Fast and furious through the rocky outcrops to re-join the final markings and summit plateau of Helvellyn and the welcome sight of the Trig Point and your final steps.
