The mountains of the Lake District may be small in comparison to other ranges around the world, spanning over a 30 mile radius with the largest summit only standing at 984m, but what they lack in height, they certainly make up for in technicality and changeable weather to equal any larger range on our small island and oversea's.
Yesterday's newly designed Scafell Sky Race course saw 201 excited, hardy and keen skyrunners brave the conditions as the events team made well thought out and considered changes to the route to host the first race on the "Skyrunner UK . Ireland Series" for 2019
